Global warming has brought forth many adverse effects to our planet. It has been the main cause of the increase of natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, heat waves and the rising of sea levels. This situation has caused many lives to perish and billions of properties damaged or beyond repair. Hence, global warming must be reduced in a large scale in order to prevent it from worsening. Every single individual must play their part to combat global warming, from officials and authorities to children. But, how do you make children more knowledgeable about global warming?
Teachers and parents are the key to educating young children about global warming. Though kids are usually ignorant about things that do not fascinate them, they are often curious about their surroundings. Kids are fast learners, especially when they are thought by examples and techniques that will make them intrigued about global like quizzes, puzzles and many more. Avoid using technical or scientific terms when educating children about global warming, as they may not understand completely what that is being told to them. Children must be taught at young age how to conserve energy, and the 3Rs – recycle, reuse and reduce. By doing this, they will grow up to be responsible and caring people, to human lives and nature.
By teaching children about global warming, they will be more concerned about the nature. After all, the prevention the effects of the global warming are for their future and children.
