Global Warming – Teach Your Kids How To Go Green

As global warming gets worst, we need to start “going green” with our daily human activities. By definition, “going green” means we have to start to use alternative energy sources that do not pollute the Earth, in addition with ways and methods to preserve the nature.

“Go green” programs are not only for adults. You can teach your children how to go green and be aware of their environment. For instance, teach them how to go green by recycling. Provide them with a rubbish bin for recycle items, which have different sections for various items such as glass, plastic, papers and aluminum. Let them know, by recycling they are actually reducing the consumption of energy and raw materials used for them. Tell them too not to waste electricity and water, by switching the power off on machines and electronic devices and turning the tap off when they have finished using them.

You could also educate them to go green by replanting trees in your garden or school with guidance of a teacher. Not only this method will bond the children with their family and friends, it also allows your children to know more about science and the nature. Let them understand the importance of plants and the symbiosis between plants and human by explaining to them the process of oxygen and carbon dioxide circulation.

By doing these activities, your children will certainly know how to go green and its significance.
